League of Comic Geeks app/site

5/5

Link is here.

I recently started using this site and their mobile app because my local comic book store moved their subscriptions to “pull lists” through it. I’m going to refer to League of Comic Geeks as LoCG if I need to type it out more as I continue this review. It has a host of features aside from just being able to add subscriptions, which I’ll dive into below.

First, not only can you subscribe, you can pull individual comics, paperbacks, hardcovers, and omnibuses. It lets you order stuff months in advance and see what’s coming with what price it’ll be.

Second, you can also use the app to manage your collection as well as your “want list” of comics/books. For a disorganized person like me, that is extremely useful, as I was using the Notes app on my phone to keep track of what comics I needed, and had no way of tracking what I already had.

Third, when adding to your collection, you can scan the cover and then quickly add your comics that way. There’s also a way to scan barcodes, but I was running into some trouble with that on some of my issues, which is whatever.

Fourth, it is nearly Free Comic Book Day (Saturday, May 3rd, this year) and I feel it’s good to put out at least one comic-related post ahead of time.

5/5 cause I have no bad things to say at this time.
