Captain America: Brave New World

3/5

Trying to avoid spoilers here, so I’ll keep this brief. I saw the movie yesterday with 2 people. First, I’m glad that I had my wife watch the Incredible Hulk before we went to see this in theaters. Second, it wasn’t a bad movie, but it wasn’t groundbreaking, either.

Alike most of the newer Marvel movies (or Star Wars), you need to watch a few things prior to seeing this to know what’s going on: The Incredible Hulk (yeah, the one that feels very old at this point) and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. And to watch that second one, you have had to watch several other movies…but I’m not listing everything out.

The CGI didn’t seem to be great during the intro fight, but for the rest of the movie it met current expectations. No other real criticism to provide.

3/5 because Marvel movies are far too predictable at this point, but it wasn’t a terrible movie. I’m sure it furthers whatever their current Phase is.
