Times definitely seem tough right now, which can definitely make it harder to see the bright side. The USA (specifically the Executive Branch) has started trade wars with just about everywhere, causing world economies to react, but we’ll make it through. We always do!
We’ve certainly lived through better times, but we’ll likely also live through worse. At least it’s not World War 3 (yet).
I would hate to be retiring right now, because since January, my retirement accounts are down over 10% due to the immense impact on the economy these stupid tariffs have made. It’s unlikely to result in more businesses opening successful factories in the United States due to how chaotic this has been so far (and therefore how chaotic it will continue to be), not to mention that there’s still materials we’d need to import…
